The Department is committed to increasing transparency around accountability and discipline. This Personnel database is a first step at providing that increased transparency and includes the following:
- Officer Profile: Allows users to view information for active uniformed members of service, including title & shield history, Department recognition & awards, disciplinary history resulting in charges and specifications from the Department or a schedule “C” command discipline(s), history of arrests processed, and additional documents.
- Trial Decisions Library: A repository of trial decisions composed by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Trials for active, retired, and separated uniformed members of service.
- Trial Calendar: The calendar provides a snapshot of upcoming Department trials conducted by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Trials, and is typically updated on a monthly basis.
- Our Discipline Matrix: The discipline penalty matrix outlines the presumptive penalties for a wide variety of possible offenses committed by members of service.
- Deviation Letters: A compilation of letters issued by the Police Commissioner explaining a deviation from CCRB’s recommended disciplinary penalty or a departure from the Disciplinary Matrix guidelines.
- Reforms to the NYPD Disciplinary System: Provides users with detailed background on the Department’s efforts to increase transparency surrounding discipline.
- Civilian Complaints (CCRB): Navigates users to the Civilian Complaint Review Board’s main web page to view allegations submitted by the public to the CCRB.
- Civil Lawsuits (Law Dept.): Navigates users to the NYC Law Department’s website, containing information about civil actions stemming from alleged police misconduct.
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Contains answers to some of the most common questions related to the Officer Profile and other information.
